Oberon Design was established in 1972 as a leather working business. The founder took up leather working as a teenager, later learning from a local saddlery shop. Today, Oberon Design continues as a team of artisans and designers based in Santa Rosa California. They still specialize in leather, but also expanded to cast Brittania pewter accessories, all of which is crafted in house.
